  • I have well water would this Builder be better or should I purchase the aaf ascp 4510

    Pleated sediment filters are more ideal for well water soruces. A carbon based filter may clog quickly on a well water source without a pleated sediment pre-filter in front.

  • I have a aquasure fortitude V series whole house water filter (or so the manual says), the filter is actually 4.5 x 9” in size, can’t find this size in standard replacements.

    The Fortitude V Series 10" filters would be this size.

  • Does the Aquasure AF-PS30-4510 filter work in the AS-FS-25SCZ filter housing

    No. It would not be compatbile.

    It is typically replaced about every 6 months.

  • How often does this filter need to be washed out and changed?

    The filter can be rinsed clean with a standard water hose up to about 4 times a year. We advise to not exceed 4 washes because after the fourth wash the micron hole sizes can increase in size (holes the water is filtered through). The standard replacement time for this cartridge is 6 months on average. Time can vary based on water quality.
