Which filters can be used for this system? I see many different filters available on the filters section of this website but none specify they can be used for this system. Also, are any other filters compatible if Aquasure is not available?

Works with 1 1/4” water line?

You will need to use a fitting to make this connection as we only carry 1" and 3/4" NPT.

This system is made for 5 year usage. After that we have to throw it or is there any parts to replace to keep it working?

Fortitude media tank has a lifespan of 3-5 years before needing to replace the media inside.

How to upgrade this to Alkaline RO (AS-PR75AK). Also how to select chrome faucet ?

You cannot make that selection within the Signature Elite Seires as the bundle is pre-selected. You can create your own "bundle" by adding these items seperatley, but the price will vary.

8% crosslink resin. 2 cubic ft. Coconut activated carbon. 2 cubic feet of carbon, 8lbs of KDF. We do not use SiR resin.

Hi Brandon! Yes, the Fortitude Pro Water Treatment System that is included in the Signature Elite Series System will filter through hydrogen sulfide.

What part of Signature Elite Series Whole House Water Filter System | 1,500K Gallons - AS-SE1500A only lasts 5 years I don't see much info I'm guessing it's the big filter?

Fortitude pro carbon tank is the one that will last roughtly 3-5 years before needing to replace the media. The resin tank has a life span of 8-10 years. The RO system can last very long time as long as the filters are being replaced properly. The 20" Pre-filter needs replacement every 6 months depending on water usage.

What is the correct replacement sediment filter? The installation placard just says “Fortitude V2” … which covers several different products. AF-PS30-4520 is mentioned in the manual but the manual covers multiple models and it appears to refers to the whole unit versus just the replacement element. AF-PS30-HFL turns up in the search.

Can this system be mounted outside?

an outdoor installation is unfortuenatelt not reccended as it voids the warranty. Due to the electrical control valve head we would not be able to guarantee the best performance if the system is exposed to the elements. 
If you need to install it outdoors we highly recommen building a small shed or enclosure around the system to keep it safe from the elements.

Would this be sufficient for well water?

All of our products can be used for well water and city water sources. It's recommended to conduct a water test for your home to ensure the levels of contaminates you have can be taken care of by our systems.

Does the system filter out Manganese and Sodium?

The RO system which is perfect for pure drinking water will filter out manganese and sodium. 

However, the water softener and media tank will not filter those things out. Sodium will pass through the filter and media tank. Additionally, manganese is better filtered by catalytic carbon rather than the granular activated carbon found in the media tank. You could still consider our system but it would be best to get a catalytic carbon filter from a third party.

How many pounds of salt should I use

Replenishing the brine tank up to about 80lbs worth of salt should be sufficient.

Does the water softener cylinder need to be filled with resin beads? I did not notice any included bag of those resin bead to fill the tank.

the resin tank has a lifespan of 8-10 years depending on your water quality; the 5-year warranty if for the whole system if parts are needed

is this system great fo well water system ?

Yes. Please note that if this is for a well water source with iron (red/orange discoloration/staining) or sulfur/sulfate issues (indicator is a rotten egg smell) then please ensure you select the IRON UPGRADE: KDF85 + FM Upgrade. If not selected you will not have the correct resin or media to address high levels of iron or sulfur. 

What is the diameter of the hole needed to be cored thru my granite counter top for the under sink filtration faucet??? System has not been delivered yet to my Home Depot.

1. Using an Existing Hole

• Spare Hole: If there is a spare hole covered by a rubber or chrome cover, simply remove the cover 
and install the drinking water faucet at the location.
• Spray Hose: If the spray hose is not in use, remove the hose and mount the drinking water faucet 
at the location. Remember to plug up the outlet under the main faucet. If the spray hose uses a 
diverter at the base of the spout, be sure to remove it to avoid trouble later on. 
• Hanging faucet: If drilling a hole is not feasible (i.e. rental home, drill tool not available etc.), the 
faucet can be placed inside the sink cabinet or wherever convenient without mounting. 

2. Pre-drilling preparation 

• Check under the sink in the area that you plan to install the faucet and make sure that there is 
ample of room to secure the mounting hardware. A space of approximately 2 inches in diameter is 
needed. 

• REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM INSIDE THE SINK AND SURROUNDING AREA. Place paper 
towels in the sink to catch the shavings from the grinding and drilling. 
• REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM UNDER THE SINK. Place newspaper or paper towels directly 
under drilling location in order to catch the drill shavings. 

3. Drilling Porcelain or Enamel
WARNING: Metal shavings can oxidize and discolor porcelain. Be extrememly careful to cover porcelain 
sinks. Always wear gloves and protective eyewear when drilling. 
• Using a cordless drill with a carbide grinding burr, gently grind away enough porcelain or enamel 
to more than accommodate the 7/16” (11 mm) drill bit. Approximately the size of a dime. Enough 
surface material must be removed to expose the base metal. 
• Using the 1/4” (6 mm) drill bit, drill a centering or pilot hole in the center of the desired faucet 
location. It will make it easier for the 7/16” (11 mm) drill bit to cut through the sink
• Switch to 7/16” (11 mm) drill bit and operate the drill slowly and carefully— Especially when the 
drill bit is about to penetrate the metal. Otherwise, damage to sink may occur. Use lubricating oil to 
keep the drill bit cool while drilling. 

4. Drilling Stainless Steel
• Use a hole punch and hammer to mark the location of where you want to install the faucet. Keep 
your taps short and control until a dent is visible, this will help keep your drill bit seated when start 
drilling. 
• Apply lubricant to the drill area as drilling at high speed will create a lot of heat which can cause the 
metal to warp or burn. 
• Using the ¼” (6mm) drill bit, at half speed to drill the hole. This would help prevent it from 
overheating. 
• Switch to 7/16” (11 mm) drill bit and do the same to widen the hole. 
• Once the hole is drilled, use the file to smooth out the edges and wipe away the shaving.
• Clean The Area
• Discard paper towels and newspaper used in the sink and below sink. Be very careful not to drop 
any shavings in the sink or on the floor as they will oxidize and stain surfaces very quickly

What type of footprint is necessary to install the filter, softener/brine tank, and option UV system if placed next to each other in a row? I only have about 15 inches of depth available off the wall (while still having room to access the equipment) and 54 inches across.

We typically recommend a bit more space than the space you are dealing with for ease of install and also general maintenance. About 75 inches across as well as 25-30 inches of depth is often advised. If you cannot accommodate that space, we may advise considering a different system.

What is the order of installation ; in otherwowords, is the salt unit the first step ?

The sequence of the installation would be first the 20" sediment filter, 2nd, the Carbon/KDF media tank, and 3rd, the water softener for the whole house. The RO system would just be installed under the kitchen sink. 

Will this system be efficient with Potassium Chloride?

Yes. The system can use potassium efficiently in lieu of salt.

With the purchase of an AquasureUSA system unfortunately in-person installation, labor, and/or servicing is not included. If you require a professional plumber we recommend to look at reviews and request multiple quotes from various plumbers in order to ensure the best price for installation.

Does this system lower the water pressure ?

The system has a very minimal reduction in water pressure so you can install the system while being ensured that your PSI will not diminish.

Is there a specific type of salt to use with this system? What is the model number or sku# of the stage 1 & 2 Pre-Filters, stage 3 & 4 RO membrane and Post Carbon Filter? Thanks

There is not a specific type of salt to use. As long as the salt is meant for water softening it should be fine to use. The common salt brand people gravitate towards is Morton's and we recommened the pellet shaped salt since it dissolves pretty evenly.

Can AS-SE1500A treat 64,000 grains of hardness? It looks like AS-SE1000A treats 48,000 grains?

Yes, the AS-SE1500A will come with the 64,000 Grain Water Softener.

I thinking of getting the 1500K whole house system. This would be a little over kill. I have 5 bath, but there's just two of us. My question is: Will the system last longer because there is less demand? i.e. Will the salt last longer because the water demand is less? Or is the salt amount used up regardless of the usage? And, can I regen less often? Thanks!

Within the questions & answers for the signature elite whole house water filtration system your company recommended to a consumer to place the Whole House Harmony water softener stage after the Whole House Fortitude Pro filtration stage. Considering that the Whole House Fortitude Pro water treatment system with likely eliminates much of the magnesium and calcium that causes water hardness before the water reaches the softening stage, doesn’t this suggestion add much unnecessary extra wear and tear on the Fortitude tank, ultimately decreasing its effectiveness over time and therefore it’s lifespan? Additionally, there’s a lot of debate around concern of consuming softened water because of the added sodium, which I presume the Fortitude filtration stage would help filter out if placed after the softening stage. Considering this, shouldn’t it be recommended to place the whole house Harmony softening stage before the whole house Fortitude Pro stage? Please clarify.

I purchased a Signature Elite Series which contains the 20" sediment filter, the Carbon/KDF media tank, and the water softener. Both tanks look very similar, how can I tell which tank is the Carbon/KDF media tank, and which tank is the water softener? One tank has Aquatrol AT-1252BK-25T & #23A097295 and the other tank has just a # 20221203 sticker on it.

Thank you for reaching out to us, please remove the lids from the two tanks. The tank with the yellow-orange resin beads is your water softener and is the one that the control head will be attached to. The other tank with black media inside will be your carbon tank this one will have the valve.

Standard 1 year - if registered it extends for 4 years - a total of 5 all together.

Will, this filtering unit help with heavy rain in my well. Will that get the light brown color out

The system does reduce the following items from the water including calcium, magnesium, and up to 2 ppm.

The Reverse Osmosis with remove up 90% of all contaminants from the water at the faucet it is installed under.

The Fortitude Pro will reduce heavy metals, VOCs, Bacteria, Chlorine, Pesticides, odors, taste, soil, rust, silt, sand, and sediment.

To be certain of the system helping with the brown color in your water we would recommend obtaining a water test to be sure of what the brown discoloration is being caused by.

The taller resin tank varies in height depending on size.

The digital head is gives the resin tank an additional 8" in height when assembled.

This tank has a lifespan of 3-5 years, replacements are based on your water quality. 

Replacements are sold in bags of media or you can purchase a new tank.

may i order a dual tank system without the drinking water system?

We currently do not have a water treatment and water softener bundle without the Reverse Osmosis system.

Will this kill iron bacteria

Our standard Signature elite package would not kill bacteria. If you include the UV Filter with your system from the drop-down box, that UV filter will sterilize bacteria and viruses. Generally, if you have iron bacteria, you should be shocking your Well to help kill off any bacteria.
