I would have the reverse osmosis system under my sink and have a water line running to my fridge across the kitchen. Would I may need a pump to give pressure for water to come out of fridge nozzle for drinking water.

What is the proper size of hose for the drain line?

1/2" is the drain line size.

I hooked everything up and the system leaks water when the "brine fill" is running. I can't take the hose off to try and reset. How can I stop this water leak?

Remove the blue locking clip. Press inward on the grey collet and pull the line free with your other hand.

Does the system filter bacteria?

Are the filters universal or do I have to use Aquasure brand for the whole house water filter? Thanks!

Our filters will only work/fit with our filter housings.

Does your system remove fluoride from the water?

No, our systems do not remove fluoride.

What is the warranty on the system?

We offer a warranty of 5 years for our softeners. Our RO is covered for 2 years if purchased separately and 5 years if purchased with a softener. To activate our warranty, you will need to register your system(s) on our website within the first 60 days of purchase.

We do not offer in-person servicing, so we would recommend contacting your local water professional for a quote.

How can I know what size pipe I need for installation?

If you have existing connections available for a softener, you would need to measure those pipes.

Yes. The RO tank comes pre-pressurized. You should not have to pressurize it yourself.

What is the average cost of potassium and filter replacement a year?

10" filters replace the cartridge after 6 months and 20" filters replace the carriage after a year depending on the water quality. Salt can be anyware from $10 - $30 depending on place of purhcase. we have found that the pellet style salt tends to dissolve more evenly so recommend the pellet shaped salt.

Are these products manufactured in the USA?

Correct, our systems are made and tested out of California.

We have 3/4" NPT connections avaialabe. If you're purchasing directly from our site, you will have the option to choose that size. If ordering elsewhere, just reach out to us once you have your order number and we can update your order internally.

Yes, you can use potassion pellets with our system.

how often should the system regenerate

If the default settings are left the same the system will regenerate after 1000 gallons have passed through the system. You can also factor the most efficient number of gallons to set for the softener system by using the Total Gallons Calculation Tool – Aquasure USA. If you know your water hardness in PPM or GPG then you can plug in the numbers to the calculator. After you have the most efficient number of gallons the system normally regenerates once or twice a month depending on your hardness and general water consumption.

the discharge outlet is at the top of the tank. I need to go upwards 5 feet from that point than across the attic about 10 feet and then down. That's how my current one goes. Is this possible on this unit

The drain line can not exceed 7 feet above the unit.  Your describiton sounds good.

I did not perform the complete backwash during my first installation system start-up process, only the first backwash process is completed and than continued to use the water to flow in the home, will there be any problem since we did not perform the brine draw step 3 and step 4 during the system startup? Also during the next regeneration do we need to close the outlet into your home or the process is taken care of automatically?

Can you use crystal salt I this softener

Crystal water softener salt is fine. Pellets are recommended.

What size are the valves? Also, for a 4 person household, how much water a month is estimated for regeneration?

If you are talking about the inlet and outlet valves, the system comes standard with a 1" yoke connector, but we also have 3/4" available upon request. 
Without knowing your water's hardness, the 48,000 Grain Harmony uses about 45-60 gallons of water when it regenerates. Typically, we want the system to regenerate within 2-4 weeks to maintain its lifespan and efficiency, so in a month you would go through about 90-120 gallons if it is regenerating twice a month. Does the RO have a pump

How often are salt pellets needed to be added and what salt pellets does Aquasure recommend. Does the pre filter need to be changed out periodically and if so how often

Hello, 

Thank you for reaching out to us, you will need to replace teh salt every 2-3 months once the salt is about 2-3 inches from the bottom. We recommend Mortons clean and protect pellet style, prefilter needs to be replaced every 6 months.

On average, customers add salt every 2-3 months.

Will it lower the water pressure? how often will

A pressure drop due to the water softener is not common but to rule it out, place the water softener on bypass for a day and confirm if water pressure returns or stays low.

*If you have a pre-filter installed, bypass the pre-filter first if possible, and check the water pressure.

*If you cannot bypass the pre-filter on its own, continue to bypass the entire softener unit for a day. 

*Please note that 10” pre-filters need to be replaced every 5-6 months and 20” pre-filters need to be replaced every 11-12 months. If the filter is old, it’s likely clogged and needs to be replaced. 

If water pressure returned to normal with the softener bypassed and you do not have a pre-filter part of your set-up, please contact our Customer Support team Mon-Fri 8:30AM-5:30PM PST for further assistance. 

Is it safe for animals to drink such as horses and dogs how much salt/potassium is still in the water after being filtered through the resin filters

Usually, there is a 3% sodium increase in your water per gallon. It's safe to consume, but if there is a history of heightened sodium intake complications with any living being drinking that water, we typically recommend not drinking that water.

Does this system work on a well

Yes our unit do work for well water

With the Reverse Osmosis, do we have to use the faucet that comes with it or can we use our own. We like the one we have better.

You may use your own as long as its a faucet for RO systems.

My husband recently put in the RO system with the remineralization filter. I am experiencing stomach pains every time I drink this water. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear that. We've never gotten a report of that being caused by our Alkaline filter. I wouldn't know what could cause this. Potentially you might be sensitive to one of the minerals being re-introduced into the water via that filter. It's hard to say. I would try the 4th stage carbon filter instead of the alkaline filter and see how you feel drinking from that.
