Ask a Question-
This Harmony Series Water Softener System W/Aquatrol Digital Head And 10" Sediment Dual Purpose Whole House Water Filter - 64,000 Grains Products Overview: The Aquasure AS-HS64SCP is for city water ?
Yes
-
Will the AS-HS64SCP remove Iron ?
This model removes up to 2ppm of iron. We also have model# AS-HS64FM, which moves up to 10ppm of iron. If you select that model, you'll have the option to add the pre-filter.
-
We have the AS-HS64SCP water softener and wanted to know when we need to add more salt? Does it give an indicator automatically?
Typically, you will keep the salt tank filled with about 40-80lbs of salt. It is advised to check the brine tank from month to month. If the salt level is well below 1/4 tank full then this is your visual queue to toss in another 40-80lbs of salt. The system does not give an indicator or notification of low salt so it is advised to check from month to month.
-
When do I add more salt
You would visually check the brine tank's salt level every month and a half or so. If you find that the salt level is below 1/4 of tank full or you are starting to see through to the floor of the brine tank then this is your visual queue to toss in another 80-100lbs of salt inside the brine tank.

SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
STEP 1. Shutting off the Supply Water
Caution! Before working on any system maintenance, prepare a clean cloth or microfiber towelÂ
to wipe off excess water that might spill during the filter replacement or system maintenance.Â
1. Turn the main water supply valve completely off by rotating it clockwise.
2. Turn on the nearest faucet to release any excess water and pressure that is built up inside the pipe.Â
STEP 2. Removing the Filter Housing
1. Press the red pressure-relief button on the top of the housing cap to relieve any pressureÂ
built up inside the system.
2. Using the housing wrench and turning it to the left to loosenÂ
3. Discard the old filter and clean the inside of the housing and cap with warm water.Â
Caution! Do not use any chemicals to wash the housing.Â
STEP 3. Install the New Filter
1. Unwrapped the filter and place it inside the housing and make sure the housing isÂ
centering on the standpipe.Â
2. Check the o-ring for cracks or damage. Replace o-ring if it is damaged.Â
3. Screw on the housing with the filter inside to the corresponding head by turning it from left toÂ
right using the supplied housing wrench.Â
Note: Make sure the o-ring is inside the housing and do not over tightening the housing.Â
STEP 4. System Startup
1. Turn on the main water supply valve fully by turning it counterclockwise
2. Check for leaks
3. Turn on the nearest faucet and let the water run for 10 minutes to release any trapped airÂ
bubble or carbon fine if a carbon filter is installed. -
Does it take the orange out or iron?
If you have iron it would be best to consider the 64,000 Grain unit w/ the fine mesh resin for added iron removal. Additionally, please see the link for the pre-filter below which is commonly paired with the softener.Â

Does this have demand initiated regeneration? Would it be legal in Texas?
The system comes programmed in time meter mode, which means the regeneration cycle happens automatically after the number of gallons on the screen counts down to zero.
The number of gallons on the screen counts down as water is used in the home.
We do have plenty of customer in the state of Texas.
-
I see the rates salt consumption is 8 to 11 lbs per regeneration. The brine tank holds 80lbs. How often should I add salt? Weekly, monthly? Is there a salt PPM measurement that should be maintained in the brine tank?
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your inquiry.
The 80lbs of salt will normally last 2 months on estimation.
This does depend on the volume of water used in the home.
That volume of water will determine how many regeneration cycles are completed during that time.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions. -
I would like to purchase whole house water softener and filtration system. looks like Signature model with 64,000 grain is the one, but I really do not need RO piece. my township installation permit application requires my plumber to prove the product spec page stating which NSF listing the equipment is certified with. I searched you web site, unfortunately I could not find it. Would you please send me the link so that I can print it out for my permit application?
Unfortunately, we are not currently NSF certified.

Can this water softener be used with potassium chloride. If it can be are there changes that need to be done to the unit or just use potassium chloride in leu of sodium chloride.
Yes, you can use potassium chloride salt pellets instead of sodium chloride. No changes need to be made for it to work with our system.
