QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is the finished water to waste water ratio?

    The ratio is 1:3.

  • I bought the Aquasure Premier Advanced Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System - 75 GPD . I was wondering if I could it hook up to my refrigerator water / ice-maker . I have a 1/2\"CPVC line going to it now. Could I get a T-connector for the waterline and how would it connect to the 1/2\" CPVC Line. Thanks

It would be hard to say, but we do sell a extra output kit part number (AP-XOUTPUT) that allows the system to be connected to an icemaker kit on the fridge. It also comes with at 25' tubing to help route to the fridge.

  • Can I purchase the replacement filter on Amazon or other places or I can only buy them on the website?

We do sell our replacement filter and system through major online e-tailers such as Amazon and eBay. We also offer both Amazon pay and Paypal during our checkout if you prefer using those payment methods.

  • Please correct me if I am wrong but there is no re-mineralization stage in the system ?

No, only the alkaline 4th stage pre-filter option will provide this

  • Is the Reverse Osmosis System (AS-PR75A) post carbon filter interchangeable with the alkaline post filter? Or do I have to buy the Alkaline System (AS-PR75AK) to use the Alkaline Post Filter? I would like to be able to try the Alkaline post filter without having to buy a whole new system.

yes you are able to switch out stage 4 of AS-PR75A to our Alkaline filter.

  • Do you have to use a different faucet for the drinking water? I just had quartz countertops installed which means i would need to cut holes.

You will need a gooseneck style faucet for the RO

  • What is the reverse osmosis ratio? In other words; approximately how many gallons of water does it take this system to produce 1-gallon of "clean" water?

    3:1 ratio

  • Does this system use a thin film membrane?

Yes, the 3rd stage of this RO system is a Membrane.

  • are the 75 gallons per day available at the same time or how long does it take to refill the tank? how much water does the tank hold at a time?

The tank can hold 4 gallons of water at a time and produces up to 75gpd. Once you access water from the faucet, the system will begin to work and refill the tank by replenishing the water that was taken from the tank. To fill an empty tank, the system can take around two to three hours to fill.

  • what size hole should be drilled into Silestone countertop for the faucet?

Anything between 3/4" to 1" is fine.

  • I have just installed the R/O system and the water coming out of the faucet has tiny bubbles that go away after about 15 sec, Is this normal? Water tastes great.

Yesthis is simply aeration in the line

  • Does this system leave any essential minerals a body needs to absorb via water?

This system only removes up to 99% of contaminates from drinking water

  • What is the minimum operating input PSI for this unit?

    . Water Pressure Parameter

The maximum allowable inlet water pressure is 125 psi. If daytime pressure is over 80 psi, nighttime pressure may exceed the maximum allowed water pressure. Use a pressure-reducing valve (PRV) to reduce the pressure if needed.

    • Maximum: 125 PSI (8.78 kg/cm2)
    • Minimum: 25 PSI (1.75 kg/cm2)

  • What’s the maximum size hole I can drill to install this on a quartz or granite countertop? Where are the dimensions of the faucet base that covers the hole?

  • We have model AS-PR75A-BN and replaced the filters about a month ago. Since then the unit starts humming periodically. We have turned the unit on it's side to bleed out the air with no success. It drains continuously. Is there any way we can replace the ASO?

It is most likely air vibrating through the system. You’ll want to tilt the filter system at a 15° angle and the air should be able to move through the system. Shutoff the tank ball valve and turn on the dispensing faucet for about 1 minute. Repeat 3 or 4 times to purge out all the air. If the issue continues, please follow up with us at support@aquasureusa.com.

  • I have AS-PR75A unit. How can I get a safety disc replacement. Part no. not list in parts list.

Thanks for the question. If you need additional safety discs for your RO system please find them here in the link below.

  • I have a AS-PR75A unit and I notice that water runs in the black tube into the drain long after the faucet is turn off. How long should the water drain and why does it continue after the faucet is turned off?

Our system perfoms on a 3:1 gallon ratio. Once you've poured water through your faucet, the system will run water through the filtration to refill the reserve tank. During this time, there are 3 gallons of unfilted water draining for every 1 gallon of purified water produced.

  • What is the capacity of the filters?

The system/filters are cabable of producing 75 Gallons Per Day.

    RO Filter Replacement Time Frame
    • Pre-Stage Filters ~ The pre-sediment and the pre carbon: Replace every 6 to 12 months (Private well water source may need to replace pre-filters sooner than 12 months due to heavy sediments and other particulates.)

    • RO-Membrane and Post Carbon: Replace every 2 years (Private well water source may need to replace membrane sooner than 2 year due to lower source water quality)

  • Does the tank or tubing ever need to be cleaned and/or sanitized? If so, how often?

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your inquiry.

We recommend to clean the brine tank out, which hold the salt and water once a year no more than every 6 months.

As long as the drain line tubing does not go into a location that has debris or dirt, the tubing may never need to be cleaned.

The resin beads in the resin tank can be refreshed once a year, if you choose to by using Rescare solution to add to the salt mixed water in the brine tank once a year.

    We hope this information helps.

  • My system was just put in 2 months ago, and the bubbles take a bit to relax (ok). but it is a bit cloudy in a clear glass with white substance floating threw out in the glass?

Please reach out to our customer support team at support@aquasureusa.com for further assistance

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your inquiry.

The reserve tank can hold up to 3.2 gallons of treated water.

After two hours without usuage the tank should be full to capacity with treated water.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • Does this filter re-mineralize the water? what is the DTS of output water.

The alkaline filter is what will re-mineralize the water. The TDS reading will depend upon your incoming TDS

  • I have just purchased an Aquasure RO system and in the location I would like to place it has no drain. I forgot about the regeneration process! Dumb question but thought I would ask, does the RO have to backwash? If so, how many gallons of discharge takes place during the regeneration the process?

The Reverse Osmosis System does not regenerate - only our water softeners do. The Reverse Osmosis will constantly drain water in order to fill up the holding tank.

  • How do you tell when you need to change a cartridge?

You will need to change all 4 filters once a year.

  • I replaced all filters at one time in January of 2023. I am only getting 4 cups of water before the faucet goes to a trickle. Troubleshoot says the flow valve is plugged. Not sure how to take the valve off as I had a plumber install.
