Does this filter PFAs?

Yes, it will reduce PFA's. Reverse Osmosis will remove PFA's.

Is there a bypass valve located within this filter sysyem. IE does a internal valve bypass filtration when the filter becomes to restricted. The previous owner ran the system without a filter installed. I installed a new AF-SCF-25HFS after washing out the filter housing less than a month ago. It helped clear the water at the taps, now the water is again dirty after less than a month. Could the filter be restricted to the point that a bypass valve is now flowing water without filtration into the softener?

There is no bypass valve located at the pre-silter unless one was installed there by the previous owner. 

If the water coming into the home really hard and dirty then the pre-filter will need to replaced alot sooner.

How to you get the top gasket on filter to line up properly on the hole in the housing when you install the filter?

It may seal up slighlty off centered, but as along as the cap seals over th housing, this is fine.

It will not. None of our filters are rated at treating arsenic.

What is the max psi output this filter will support

Max fortitude v series can support is 75 psi

Does this filter remove Trihalomethanes . If not which filter system does.

Pre-filters do not remove Trihalomethanes. The only system we carry to remove this is our RO system about 90% removal. RO system is installed under the sink and not a whole house filter. Just for purified drinking water.

Is this Fortitude V Series Sediment and Carbon filter intended to be installed upstream of the water softener? I just ordered a 32 grain softener from you with 3/4” NPT fittings because my main water lines are all 3/4”. Can I still use this filter that has 1” NPT fittings and simply add adaptors to reduce to 3/4”. If so, how far should the 1” line extend on each side of the filter to make efficient use of it? The Fortitude V Series Sediment and Carbon filter are typically installed before the softener system meaning your water source should be the first thing the pre-filter passes through followed by the softener system. Additionally, if your pipes in the home are 3/4" then you can, of course, use reducer fittings to make the proper connection to the pre-filter. The 1" line on each side should not extend too far out from the inlet/outlet sides of the filter if the proper reducer fitting is used.

This filter would not remove radon.

You seem to have asked, "What is the door rate".

We are assuming that you are asking about the "flow rate" though. If so, the flow rate of the Sediment/Carbon Dual Purpose Pre-Filter is up to 20GPM.

Before I purchase, like to know availabilty of O ring replacement. This offering does not show how one can get replacement O ring?

How often should this filter be changed?

The 10" filters replaces the cartridge after 6 months depending on water quality.

does city water travel though fortitude filter before going into harmony water softener or after ????

The water will flow through the prefilter first and then should go through the water softener.
