Mix media tank has a life span of 3-5 years before replacement. 
RO system filters stage 1 & 2 every 6-12 months. stages 3 & 4 every 2 years. 

Pre-silter needs to be replaced every 6 months. 

Resin tank has a life spane of 8-10 years

Will this work for well water

If you have Iron level above 2PPM we would recommend upgrading to Fine Mesh Resin, but yes this system will work for well water.

Use the SKU:AS-FP1500. That is only the media tank and the 20" pleated sediment pre-filter.

I have purchased a sediment filter and a softener from aquasure but my well water still smells what type of filter can I use to stop the rotten egg smell

A rotten egg smell can often be a sign of sulfur in the water. If your water tested for sulfur, the only product we offer to help with sulfur would be a KDF85 media tank under our Fortitude Series. You will need to select the KDF85 upgrade prior to adding to the cart.

Will this system remove all the water hardness and is it safe to drink?

With proper installation and regenerations, our systems should give you a 0-1 gpg reading for hardness. The reverse osmosis system is ideal for drinking water and removes up to 99% of contaminates making the water very safe to drink.

Where can you install this unit (AS-FP1500) before or after a water softener?

AS-FP1500 is installed before water softener.

What's the meaning of 1.M gallons of water. Does the system need replacement after 1.5M gallons of water use? No salt needed? Does it remove water hardness or it just conditions it?

1 mill. gallons means that the system can treat up to 1 mill. gallons before needing to replace the tank.

This filter is a 20" pleated sedimnet filter. It can be ewahsed once inbetween the repalcement time of about 11-12 months.

This is a carbon filter tank, not a softener or reverse osmosis. It can filter an unlimited amount of gallons per day.

The blue 20" pre-filter cartridge is designed to last 10-12 months depending on your water quality. From there the filter cartridge can simply be replaced.

When does the GAC / KDF Mix media need to be replaced?

Typically you would replace the media inside the tank after the 7-8 year mark. Either that or you would replace the tank itself with another pre-filled media tank which is available for purchase at AquasureUSA.com.

Does this reduce PFAS/PFOA/PFOS? How about lead? What else? Does it need replacing after 6 years even if we haven’t used all the gallons? My home only has 1 bathroom, 1 adult, and 2 kids so the 600k seems like enough but I’d get a bigger one if it meant I could go 10 years before replacing it. So the pre-filter is reusable? How does that work? How often do I clean it? When the tank needs replacement do I just have to buy a whole new one or can just the filters inside be replaced? I can’t seem to find these answers on your site. Thanks!.

This system filters out dirt, sediment, VOC's, silt, sand, odors, discoloration, chemicals, taste, chlorine, rust, and pesticides. The system will last up to 600,000 gallons, depending on water quality.

Will this system work for well water?

This system will work with well water and is often paired with a water softener (rarely ever purchased by itself). If you are on well water and have signs of sulfur (rotten egg smell) please be sure to select the KDF 85 upgrade as this is the upgrade needed to effectively filter out sulfur. If you need a softener system with the Fortitude Media Tank then please consider the AS-HS64FM

Do we need the change the media in AS-FP1500 / Whole House Water Conditioner, or should we just replace the tank after a certain time period

After 5-6 years you can replace the media inside the tank or simply replace the media tank with another pre-filled media tank.

Does this filter treat/reduce lead in the water?

This system alone will not remove lead. Please consider the AS-HS48FM with fine mesh resin to deal with the lead. Additionally, if you have any hints of sulfur (rotten egg smell), please consider the KDF85 upgrade along with the AS-FP1500 media tank.

Can this carbon filter be set up to back wash every night if we want it to?

Yes, with the optional digital head the unit can scheduled to regenerate every night.

Fortitude V/Pro Series How much salt pellet to use when refill is required? Don’t want to overfill container.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Outside of regeneration, the water level should always be about half-filled in the salt tank, regardless of the salt level. You should have started with 80 lbs of salt. That amount normally lasts our customers around 2-3 months. Once the salt level is about 2-3" from the bottom of the tank, you'll need to add another 80 lbs.

Does this system reduce or eliminate iron? I have 2.7 mg/l of iron, with bad staining, and want to eliminate this.

The KDF85 media will help reduce iron as well as our Fine Mesh Water Softener!

What type of maintenance does this system need? How often?

There is not much maintenance aside from filling up the brine tank regularly with salt (pellet-styled preferred, or potassium pellets) and ensuring the programming of your system is set with accurate water hardness and number of people in the household. You should also check the system for leaks, if any, and ensure all lines to and from the system are properly seated.
