I have had the unit for less than a month but of course Aquasure would like a review already. The unit was well packaged and arrived fairly quickly through FedEx without any damage. It would have been nice if shipment tracking had been supplied automatically but it was not, I had to ask for it by email. The support response for this request was quick. Installation was fairly easy and should not be a problem for anyone who is somewhat handy. The instruction/owners manual is well written. The first regeneration cycle went well except the brine tank did not fill to the proper level. After contacting support it was decided to simply increase the fill time and check again at next regeneration. There were no leaks. I registered the unit through the website and also by sending a picture of the filled out registration section in the manual. In neither case did I get the promised confirmation email in return. Since registration is necessary to get the full 5 years of warranty protection I definitely wanted the confirmation. Another email to support was needed to get it, this should not have been necessary, but at least the support response was fairly quick. The unit is so far reducing my already fairly soft well water (9 grains) to zero grains. Only about 700 gallons through it at this point though.
I had a Cuno for over 25 years. It finally gave
out. I bought the 32000 harmony and installed myself as I already had a softer. Between going to hardware store twice ( had to change out drain and sprung a main line leak moving stuff around, all parts needed for install were included) moving old unit out of the way and programming this new one I have about 3 hours total. It's been 2 weeks now no leaks.or issues. I used aquasure calculations for regeneration so I'm testing water every few days till I reach 6000 I programmed. I may add or subtract gallons after testing. Seems like quality equipment. I plan to keep.this for many years without issue. Very pleased with this so far!!! Can't see why I'd change my mind!
Installation was very simple, just got it set up last night on 4/17/2024, so time will tell! Will update after a little bit of time. Still waiting to see the results.
I just finished installing a Harmony Series 32000 grain water softener and found the installation instructions to be the best I have every encountered, picturesof each step and clear descriptions. And the design detail is excellent for all the water and hose connections. Product quality appears to be outstanding. The control panel displays provides more operational information than any and offers adjustments for most functions - but factory selections worked for me. No other product I researched comes close. When I finished installation there were no leaks and startup went like clockwork. I am really pleased with my selection of this water softener.
I got the 64K size to replace a 48K unit with a lousy 2 digit interface. I like that this one has many functionalities programmable and a decent interface to show the count down of the gallons until the next regeneration. The formula for determining how many gallons to use before regenerating seems a bit off. I've had to lower the number of gallons twice but with trial and error I'll find the right number and should be fine from there.UPDATE: After lowering the number of gallons between regenerations many times, I finally figured out the problem. I have relatively low water pressure at 65 psi. This is a factor when the final phase of the regeneration cycle (bf for brine fill) refills the brine tank to set up for the next regeneration. The factory default of 12 minutes is not enough water into the brine tank at my water pressure for this tank size. This is one of the settings you are recommended not to change, however if you have low water pressure and a large tank (I have the 64K large tank), you will need to adjust that parameter. I set mine to 22 minutes and I was then able to set the number of gallons between regenerations much closer to the calculated value using the formula in the instructions book. It took some trial and error testing but I think I finally got the right settings.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Need to clear iron from The water as well as calcium. Household is 2 bath 2 people . Which u it is the best choice?
We would recommend one of our fine mesh systems to treat water with iron.
-
What salt do these use? Pellet or Rock
We recommend salt pellets, as they tend to dissolve more evenly.
-
Can the brine tank be installed on either side of the resin tank?
The brine tank can be installed on either side of the resin tank so long as the brine line/drain line does not cremp or become restricted. There is about 6 feet to play with for the brine line and 12 feet for the drain line so there should be more than enough length for either side.
