Aquasure Harmony Series Whole House Water Softener System With Iron Reducing Fine Mesh Resin- 48,000 Grains
The Aquasure AS-HS48FM Harmony Series of Whole House Water Softening System is built to provide soft, scale and spot free water while reducing iron stain for the entire house.
The system can treat up to 48,000 Grain of hardness and 10 ppm of iron, perfect for a household size of 3-4 bathrooms and up to 5 people. Its built-in advanced digital control console allows precise backwashing only when it’s needed, saving hundreds of gallons of water and lower the consumption of salt.

whats the difference between cation resin and fine mesh
Our standard resin removes up to 2ppm of iron and consists of 8% crosslink. Our Fine Mesh resin removes up to 10ppm of iron and consists of 10% crosslink.

how much salt and water does it take to backwash
Your brine tank should contain 80 pounds of salt and 5 gallons of water for proper regeneration.

Does it come with all installation parts or do we need to buy specific fittings
The unit comes standard with a 1" NPT/Yoke connection to connect to your inlet/outlet plumbing pipes. If you do not already have them you may need 1" fittings as the system does not come with those. If you have 1" piping then 1" Sharkbite fittings are normally the trusted brand.

Will this get rid of the rotten egg smell?
The 48,000 Grain Harmony Water Softener is mainly for removing the agents that make water hard (i.e. calcium and magnesium along with some levels of iron). To get rid of sulfur dioxide which gives off the rotten egg smell you will need one of our media tanks with the KDF 85 upgrade that you see in the link below.

How long is the power cord?
The power cord/adapter for our water softeners is a little more than 7 feet long. We hope this information helps.

What is the total gallons calculation that I should use when there is iron present in the water?

The calculation for gallons will still be the same regardless of iron in the water. If you would like to see the formula please find page 20 of the owner's manual in the link below. It should answer your question.
