Its inner carbon core absorbs chlorine, taste, odors, and chemicals. Making it one of the most versatile water filters for both residential and small industrial applications.
*This replacement filter only works with AS-FS-25SCZ it will not fit any other Fortitude 10" housing. For standard 10" Fortitude housing, please purchase AF-SCP-4510 for replacement filters.

No, the V2 canisters only accept our V2-style filters and will not accept standard 4.5" x 10" filters.

This filter cartridge should be replaced every 6 months depending on your water quality.

What are the micron sizes of the filter layers. The label only says 25 microns, which is pretty large. Are the inner layers smaller than that? I have a 5 micron filter now.
The Aquasure high flow 5-micron carbon block filter made of high-density coconut shell carbon. It helps reduce unpleasant taste, odor, chlorine, and other contaminants from water.
We also have a 25-micron dual-purpose sediment and carbon filter which provides a unique design that first uses the sediment outer layer to remove the majority of suspended particles in the water. In the second stage, an inner carbon core absorbs chlorine, taste, odors, and chemicals.
Finally, we have a 30-micron pleated sediment filter which is washable (up to two additional times before needing to be replaced), and maximized for dirt-holding capacity to help reduce sand, dirt & larger particles such as rust; catches "sticks, rocks, and frogs".
